Does anyone have any tricks to drying out a wet cell phone?

I dropped my cell phone in glass. I took it out, turned it off, took out the battery, and have it sitting in front of a fan. I%26#39;m really in need of some tips/tricks to drying it out faster or better. Can anyone help?

Take your phone to an electronics repair place, perferably one that specializes in cell phone repair. They will take the circut board out of the case, put it through an acid bath and a special drying process. I know because I work for such a place...too bad its not near you! Hair driers and fans will dry the water, but all the minerals left behind as the water dries will attach to the copper wires and cause shorts in the phone. Maybe use a hairdryer? Do not submerge it into another liquid. You can simply let it dry out and make sure the battery is off so its powered off and can dry separately. Now you just have to wait for it to dry out. Tilt it at an angle so that it will run down one side of it and out the bottom .You can use a fan/hair dryer (dont make to hot or to close) to speed it up hah my phone has gotten water washed so many times. idk if you can dry it out cuz i havent tried before. but go to your cellphone service store and they%26#39;ll replace it if u still have waranty. [idk if i spelled that right] hope i helped? try the hair dryer but I think it%26#39;s shot. You wanted a new one anyway, right? Best bet use a hairdryer, and let it sit for a week opened up in a cool dry place. After a week it might work. It happened to us and this worked, we saved the phone, but remember to leave the cover off and have the electronics exposed.
