Do you think cell phones should be on a childs school supply shopping list or not...for like high school?

No way, too early, and unhealthy No! All schools are trying to ban them actually because they cause such a distraction, texting in class, etc. Absolutely not. Cell phones have nothing to do with high school. If a high school students wants to pay for their own cell phone AND pay for their own cell phone bills = then... knock yourself out and get a phone - but not on your parent%26#39;s dime. Can you hear me now? No, children go to school to learn, not to be distracted from everyday problems. Their friends can call them at after homework is done. I work in a school, there is no time for any extra curriculum activity.

If you have any old cell phones that you would like to donate our school are recycling them to help us get new technology equipment for each of one of our classrooms.

BDS no.. I got one when i was in 6th grade. they are really useful in case of an emergency... and they are cool!
