Yes it is. Go to: http://www.donotcall.gov, there you can regiser your number/s. They ask that you allow thirty days for it to take effect. I have registered every number I have including my work phone number since it is not a main business line. It has GREATLY reduced the number of calls I get. Keep in mind, if there is a business you currently do business with (like your credit card company), they are basically exempt until you ask them not to call you anymore.
