I%26#39;m trying to phone someone in Europe who%26#39;s using their UK phone on Roaming and I%26#39;m trying to work out if I%26#39;ll have to pay a lot via my phone co if I call them.

Answers:

if you call/sms someone who is roaming, treat it exactly the same as if they are in the UK, whoever said you would pay more on PAYG was talking rubbish.

at the end of the day, its not your fault they are abroad, so why should you pay more to contact them.

They will pick up any additional charges No, you pay for the part of the call within the UK, the person receiving the call pays for the international part. if you are on a monthly contract then the calls come out of your inclusive allowance i.e your free minutes as it will be looked on as calling a uk mobile same goes if you are payg it will cost the same as calling someone in this country hope this helps You will be charged exactly the same rate as you would be if they were in the UK. The person you are calling will pick up the cost of the international leg of the call.
