Not sure. I have cricket, and for $52 a month (That%26#39;s total with tax) I have unlimited text and calls. But, you can%26#39;t use it outside the cricket network. I live in Vista and I bought one for my son.. I would recommend not buying one.. they are garbage. You can get a phone for like $70 dollars which includes your first months service which runs about $45/month. His phone has to be charged everyday and doesn%26#39;t get great service.. at home he can%26#39;t get a single bar. (everyone elses phones work great) It doesn%26#39;t come with any games and the ringtones you start with suck.

The "catch" with Cricket is that they are unlimited text and calling.. but only from San diego.. if you drive up to Orange County (or anywhere else outside of SD) it becomes prepaid (I think its $.10/minute) and you have to have money in your acct before you travel or it wont work. And they bill you every month and you pay at the beginning of the month. Every person I have talked to in SD says the same thing.

Current plan with iphone..?

so, I%26#39;m on a family plan with AT%26T and im looking into getting an iphone...not yet, maybe G2 or something. but if I%26#39;m on a $79.99 + 9.99/extra line (one line) plan.can I just add on an iphone? how does that work? with the iphone plans. would i COMPLETELY have to change my plan, or just add like 20-30 dollars a month?

You keep your old plan, but you also add on an iPhone data plan. It includes unlimited data and costs $20/mo for 200 SMS (text) messages, $30/mo for 1500 SMS messages and $40/mo for unlimited text messages.

EDIT: and Yes, you CAN add this on to a family plan (I am currently doing so). However, if you got two iPhones for the plan, you have to pay for the data plan for each phone, it%26#39;s not one data plan for the whole family. u wud have 2 switch 2 a compatible iphone plan you can always add a phone like at 9.99 a phone (up to 5) however, you may want to research how much will be available for that phone. The iphone is a pda-type phone. In old Cingular legacy phone plans, the added lines that were PDAs had to have a special add-on plan that would activate email/webbrowsing. You may not be able to add this as a family plan considering they made plans especially for the iphone.

You, for example seem to rarely use the phone only for the "phone purpose." However, it could also depend on where you purchased the phone, you may have received a refurbished one. Try switching batteries with your daughter, if the battery life is the same, then it%26#39;s her usage. well the carriers don%26#39;t want people to know that certain cell phones get better signal than others, it%26#39;s stupid that they do that. A different cell phone won%26#39;t give you better service. It%26#39;s all about the carrier you%26#39;re using. Even on different service providers, some places are just not cell-phone friendly. My mom works for a phone company so i would know. depends what phone u have. but there are rare phones that have specific plans coming with. u most likely dont have to change ur phone. If you switch companies then yes, you will need a new phone, but if you are just switching plans, it shouldn%26#39;t matter. If it%26#39;s set up strictly for pay as you go then probably will have to get a new phone. I%26#39;ve never had to go through that so I can%26#39;t say for sure. Once a cell phone is unlocked it can be used under most any plan.

after 9pm weekdays and weekends are unlimited which is free to send text messages. they cost ALWAYS any time even after 9. You DO actualy have to pay for both sending and receiving them. T-moblie has a message thing where you can pay 5 bucks a month and text unlimited, which may be the way to go if you text a lot. Overall, I saw T-mobile is the devil and try not to sign a two year contract with them. I regret mine. who on earth said you have to pay to receive text? maybe in America, but thats pretty backwards, why should you pay for somthing you cant control, you cant stop people sending you text messages, so why should you be charged for it, same goes for calls.

I am unsure of what phone company you are with. But, many of them charge for the internet unless you have that with you plan. Depends on your service plan. If you have a plan that allows a certain amount of downloaded megabytes per month then it is truly free of additional charges. If not you may be charged for the download but not the usual fee for the other items. In other words, song X costs 2.99 to download plus the downloaded megabytes but song Y costs 0.00 plus the downloaded megabytes. I just signed a contract with verizon because i was sick of dealing w/ virgin mobiles bullsh*t. The 800 number allows you to call from a land line and not pay long distance. yes, you use up your minutes. every time you connect you use minutes. Yes you pay.. There is no such thing as a free call from a mobile. If you%26#39;re using your cell phone during the day, you are using up your "anytime" minutes, or paying for the minutes, no matter what number you call, unless it%26#39;s another phone on your network and you have unlimited free "mobile to mobile" calls.

You are also using up minutes if someone else calls you, no matter where they%26#39;re calling from.

IM is just a way of passing time and making life seems more interesting when there are friends to keep them from feeling bored. A number is only re-issued after between 6 to 12 months of inactivity. absolutely, I used to sell these phones and plans for four different carriers and it is common practice I never thought of that before! If only I could remember my first number, I%26#39;d phone it and see if someone had it! "Hi this used to be my phone number" haha Yes, when i got my new # i always got calls for some guy, even though i told them its not his phone ne more they still called. I called Verizon and they said they recycle # after a certin # of months, i forget how long. I think so Yes they do when the line or number has been inactive for a while.

Not sure how long though I am afraid. yes, most will be put back into the number pool after 6months to a year depending on the reason for disconnection. Apparently they do in the US... Bet a lot of blokes aren%26#39;t happy they didn%26#39;t get Paris Hilton%26#39;s old one.. Yep, after the number is disconnected. After six months they are used again. its more common in pay as you go then contract, as pay as you go phones are automatcially disconected after 6-12 months of no use, and the number gets recycled.

ok, i am trading my phone in because it sucks, and the insurance company is giving me a new phone. all they told me was that the phone is a motorola flip phone, and it has great reception... but i am really hoping for it to have a camera. YouTube videos themselves will NOT work on the Q. The Q does not have Flash (and, not the right version of flash available on Windows Mobile 5.0).

You can install HTC developer software and view a limited selection of videos (VERY limited) on m.youtube.com. But, that%26#39;s a mere fraction of the youtube videos out there. The selection is slim. It doesn%26#39;t work for everyone, and it%26#39;s hardly worth the effort.

You could try installing Orb on your PC then browsing Orb from your Q. Orb converts files, including some YouTube videos, to Windows Media files that the Q can play. Again, it%26#39;s slow and not particuarly user-friendly, but it%26#39;s a start. It doesn%26#39;t always work and lags really badly, but it%26#39;s better than nothing. You%26#39;ll actually want EVDO on when using Orb. I%26#39;d turn EVDO OFF after you%26#39;re done with Orb so it doesn%26#39;t butcher your battery as bad. The Q%26#39;s battery life sucks.

I have heard some people say Motorola Razrs break the first time you drop them. I have also heard some people say that they have dropped their Razr multiple times and it has not broken. Can someone help me out? I might be buying a Razr and I need help.

If you drop it on the hinge it will break because motorola razrs have flimsy hinges. But otherwise its pretty durabile. Given about a year, prices will be roughly 3/4-1/2 the price of a phone just released. In 2 years, it may be "free" with contract. sometimes, but you usually have to do a certain amount of offers, then have a friend do them, I know someone who got a free ipod Nano, Ipod Video, and a free iphone from couple of those sites, he just used two accounts, and used the second one as his requireed referial Well, they%26#39;re legally supposed to give you an iPhone if you meet the terms and conditions. If they didn%26#39;t give you one, it would be false advertising. The problem is that the terms and conditions are usually such a hassle (sign up for service, then get 30 other people to sign up for service and keep it for 6 months, etc) that it%26#39;s not worth the hassle.

There is a way to get an iPhone for about $300. I%26#39;ll put a link in the sources that will explain the method. If you do it right, it will work fine. ahhhhh, I feel your frustration about cell phone companies. Just make sure you ask alot of questions, and you completely understand your plan before you sign a two year contract, which is what most of them will require. Family plans always pull from a shared %26#39;bucket%26#39; of minutes. its altogether it would be shared minutes between all the phones No. The minutes are for all of the phones that are covered by the family plan. It is, also very easy to go over the minutes on the family plan so you might want to have your minutes upgraded. It means altogether, the family plan is a pool of minuets. Get a plan with rollover so at least you keep what you don%26#39;t use.

The problem you will have is that the Cingular/ATT network is GSM850/1900

The GSM version of the phone is GSM900/1800/1900

It is missing the GSM850 band. Using this phone with Cingular is not recomended as you will find yourself in GSM850 areas and you will have no service because the phone is missing the 850Mhz band

The European GSM version will work fine with T-Mobile which works on GSM1900 You can buy the GSM version called the LG KG800 No you can buy it from the manufacture and then take it to cingular/At%26t and say i want to add this phone to my plan. ive done it with Alltel.And they might give you a fee for doing it but i think it varies from company to company.

I just bought mine a couple of months ago and absolutely love it. The only thing that I didn%26#39;t like is that the ringtones are very few. You can always add some on though. I like the size of it. Small enough that it is not in my way, yet big enough that I can talk on it comfortably. I am very satisfied with mine!! LG phones are good. I had VX8300 and liked it a lot. VX8600 should be good too. Take advice from someone who has one, not someone who has another LG so that one must be good too. Every manufacturer puts out good phones and garbage, and you never really know untill they are out there being used.

i have had no problems with them at all! I have had a dropped call probably once or twice in the last 9 years!! They get great coverage wherever I go and their phones are the best. If anyone has a complaint about the dropped calls or reception they should either check to make sure that there sim card is updated and working properly and make sure that it is not a defect in the phone! i have never had a problem with billing either!! dont plan on leaving them anytime soon. they%26#39;re ok I%26#39;ve had ATT , Cingular and then ATT once again for years , yup I like um :)) I think it depends on the area you live in. In my area Verizon is the best and most common. I personally dont like them that much. They say they have the lowest dropped calls. But that seems to be only because you cant even start to make the call. My wife and I have been with Cingular and its various predecessors for 15 years. They have the best coverage across the US, least dropped calls and no billing problems. I administer a large church business office and we have employees who have chosen other carriers and the problems with contracts, rates and billing are endless.

You don%26#39;t have to have a credit card. You may need to be able to pay up front (cash) for purchases though. If you are new customer and want services from Verizon Wireless then you will need to be 18 years or older plus Verizon Wireless will do a credit check on you before any activation. If your credit score is good and approved then you will be able to purchase a new phone and a cell phone plan. You can then pay the phone by cash, or credit card.

However if you credit score is low then you will need to put down a deposit plus the cost of the new phone purchase. Then within a couple of weeks you will receive your first bill with your monthly fee on your cell phone plan, a $35 activation for the phone and then taxes. In addition you will need to pay a extra month in advance. This is called prorated meaning Verizon calculates the amount from the date you start service to your billing cycle.

Your monthly bill can be paid by check through the mail or credit card or you can visit any Verizon Wireless store and pay your bill from there with cash if you would like.

My brother-in-law bought one and has already had to send his in for repair, as the screens are very delicate and crack easily. One other thing to consider is the battery..after 400 charges, you would have to send the phone to Apple for battery service at a cost of about $80.00 plus shipping. You would be able to get a loaner for about $30.00, but would be without it for a week.

Other than I find the browser to be a little buggy and that you can%26#39;t do video or picture messaging, I really like the Iphone. I didn%26#39;t get one because of the inconvenience of the battery service, not to mention that a $600 phone should be a bit more durable. yes tere is problems u cant sit on it or the glass will break I dont know about that.

I think that%26#39;s a quad-band phone so you shouldn%26#39;t have a problem. as long as its unlocked i don%26#39;t see why not phones bought in britain work abroad so it must work in opposite Shouldn%26#39;t have any problem using the phone in the UK. Your previous phone will no longer work and won%26#39;t even registered on the network because that cell phone needs a sim card to work. So there is no need to worry about anything.

And when you need customer service you get a american on the other line with I wireless Net 10 = no. Either way you get $.10 cents per minute with NET 10 and I-Wireless it is the most bang for your buck for a prepaid plan I would recommend either two of these carriers. All prepaid plans charge for incoming and outgoing calls.

No mobile to mobile calls to Verizon Wireless customers. I dont think so. And I have the same phone and my sister has virizin and it doesn%26#39;t work like pay as you go. it will go to abc2 and get off of abc[1] Click the left button at the top this will change the type of entry mode that you are using. You don%26#39;t want Itap. just scroll down, i think it is the third option and click ABc%26#39;s Open up a new text message and hit the menu button. Choose %26#39;Entry Setup%26#39; and then choose %26#39;Primary Setup.%26#39; Change from %26#39;iTap English%26#39; to %26#39;Tap English%26#39;.

That will do it! go to type the message and hold down * for like 4 secs

No,my mobile is as basic as you can get,I only use it to send the odd text and in emergencies,I%26#39;m not the greatest with anything technical, fancy features would be wasted on me. have a SE w950 for my main phone, and a QTEK 9100 knocking around for those special occasions.

the w950 is very nice, as long as you dont mind no camera, i use the walkman alot, however it can be abit buggy at times.

qtek is windows mobile, so its very usable, has WIFI also, so ive installed MSN messenger on it and use it for chatting when i dont wanna boot up the laptop.

got a k800i aswell somewhere, dont really use it that much, its got a nice camera, oh and i installed the sky+ software on it which is abit of a novelty, but its ok now and again not as advanced as I like

The enV is a very good phone. It has been very popular even with employees. The keyboard is great for text messaging and instant messaging. The larger screen and stereo speakers are nice for V Cast Video and Music. It is small and compact. Overall a great phone. Omgggssshhhh yes .

yea there good mine always gets pretty good service but the battery doesn%26#39;t last very long and i really like the silver ones caused u can put light colored covers over it and the silver doesnt show up behind it much There are different models of the V3. The V3 and the V3c are known to have battery problems (not holding charge, need to be charged often) but the V3m is very nice. Theres also V3a, V3i, and a couple others that I%26#39;m not sure about. If your carrier has the V3m though get it. The major drawback is theres not a bunch of options on it that other phones have like u cant change the wallpaper on the front screen etc. minor stuff. I have a silver one.

I seen the Virgin Mobile switchback and it is a pretty decent phone. It kinda looks funky but its unique. Great for the price you are paying for it but the difficulties is that the buttons for the QWERTY board are small (think of pinkie or index nail sized.)

If your child walks around the neighborhood or goes skating or to the movies with just a friend then I`d say Yes because you need to keep in touch with them,and they might need you for some reason. ok why did you ask where to look at your answers when you have been a member for like 1 year? It would be better for the family if pre teens only have pre paid accounts. Or acc%26#39;s that cut off at a certin cost limit.
