Do I have to pay anything when I receive text messages on a T-mobile cell phone?

I know sending text messages costs extra, but do I have to pay for receiving them? And does it make a difference if it%26#39;s after 9:00 PM?

Answers:

Good Lord, Mary, and the Shepherds there is alot of bad info here. Text messages always cost, incoming or outgoing, and at anytime of the day. We have packages for messaging to suit individual needs. $5 for 400 messages, $10 for 1000, and $15 for unlimited. Always be on the look out for promotional offers. Plus we bundle our messaging and we don%26#39;t differentiate between text, picture or video messaging. So get a package for what your using and keep that bill down. no you do not have to pay

but the person that is sending them to you does

after 9pm weekdays and weekends are unlimited which is free to send text messages. they cost ALWAYS any time even after 9. You DO actualy have to pay for both sending and receiving them. T-moblie has a message thing where you can pay 5 bucks a month and text unlimited, which may be the way to go if you text a lot. Overall, I saw T-mobile is the devil and try not to sign a two year contract with them. I regret mine. who on earth said you have to pay to receive text? maybe in America, but thats pretty backwards, why should you pay for somthing you cant control, you cant stop people sending you text messages, so why should you be charged for it, same goes for calls.

in the UK things are a little more civalised, you do not pay to recieve texts on any network, regardless of the time
