I%26#39;m looking at a Verizon family plan and it says 700, 1400, 2100 etc. minutes. Does this mean per phone or altogether? Sounds like a rip off if it%26#39;s altogether. Cell phones suck. I%26#39;m frustrated.

if it is a family plan then you all share the 700, 1400, or 2100 minutes. if you get individual plans then each of you will get how ever many minutes are in your plan. yes cells are rip off%26#39;s but they are handy, and in respect are cheaper then doing the pre paid thing.
I have been with sprint for nearly five years, and i can%26#39;t stand them. I am concidering switching to altel, but the problem with them is you pay out the wazoo to have a nation wide plan. so if you leave your area which i do very often cause i have to travel alot for work, i%26#39;ll get charged traveling charges.
i have looked in to cingular but they want an outragous deposit and i%26#39;ve looked in to verizon but they don%26#39;t service my area in Texas.
ahhhhh, I feel your frustration about cell phone companies. Just make sure you ask alot of questions, and you completely understand your plan before you sign a two year contract, which is what most of them will require. Family plans always pull from a shared %26#39;bucket%26#39; of minutes. its altogether it would be shared minutes between all the phones No. The minutes are for all of the phones that are covered by the family plan. It is, also very easy to go over the minutes on the family plan so you might want to have your minutes upgraded. It means altogether, the family plan is a pool of minuets. Get a plan with rollover so at least you keep what you don%26#39;t use.
