I have an LG VX8300 and would like to upgrade to a Motorola Q. I%26#39;m currently on a basic family plan with Verizon. If I would get the Q, would I have to upgrade my plan to one of those voice and data plans or could I use it on the basic family plan?

You wouldn%26#39;t have to upgrade your wireless plan if you didn%26#39;t want to add anything to what you already have (services I mean like internet...) AND you opted to pay the full price of the phone AND you talked to a representative and told them that you didn%26#39;t want to renew your plan.
But thats a hassle. yes u would have to get a data plan for that phone and if u plan on using the internet alot i would suggest the unlimited data package for $45/month all depends on what u want to utilize with your phone man if u want to go out of contract you will have to buy the Q at retail which can sometimes be beneficial.
