Do some phones never go down in price?

I really love this new phone from Samsung. The SCH-U740:

The only problem is that, with a two-year contract, it%26#39;s still $129. I%26#39;m not sure how popular it is so who%26#39;s to say it won%26#39;t just stop production instead of lower in price?

I mean, I%26#39;m willing to wait for it to go down, but I don%26#39;t want to wait for nothing and have it not go down at all.

Answers:

Phones do come down in price, to a certain point. Yes, in a few months to a year, the phone will be pretty cheap, especially with new phones coming out every month. Given about a year, prices will be roughly 3/4-1/2 the price of a phone just released. In 2 years, it may be "free" with contract. Id say really think about the features you want and the price youre willing to pay, and in short time, itll be available.
